Brigitta Bihari 15th July, Nokia announced a new collaboration with Telecom Egypt to introduce 5G technology to Egypt. Telecom Egypt obtained the first five-generation (5G) license in Egypt earlier this year, and it has a 15-year validity.
The partnership seeks to completely change the telecom landscape of the nation by introducing 5G’s revolutionary potential to places like Alexandria, Aswan, Cairo, Giza, and Luxor. With Nokia’s extensive AirScale portfolio, Telecom Egypt’s customers will have an amazing network experience that includes increased capacity, performance, and data speeds. The deployment is scheduled for later this year.
By the agreement, Nokia will implement 5G radio access network (RAN) hardware from its range of industry-leading AirScale products, which includes baseband devices and its most recent Massive MIMO radios. These systems use Nokia’s energy-efficient ReefShark System-on-Chip technology, offering broad 5G coverage and capacity and simple deployment. In addition, Nokia will provide expert services that include network optimization, integration, and implementation.
